Goofing around a few minutes with lighting.  I like how this pictures turned out but I would have done more with it if the sun wasn’t setting so fast and we were at a better location.

Sara had Confirmation today.

It’s a rainy Saturday and a quite afternoon in the house.  Sara was in her bedroom practicing her saxophone by keying the notes for her music.  She was nice enough to keep on practicing when I appeared with my camera and speed light.  Either that or they are learning to just ignore me.

A plain fortune cookie.  Not even a very interesting picture.  However, this fortune cookie represents a nice dinner with my kids talking about school, chemistry, Spanish, writing, TV shows, music, and book series.

Corned beef barbeque sandwich or what Amy and I remember as what brought us together.

For my picture today I started by laying on the floor and taking a straight shot of Jinx.  These pictures weren’t interesting and looked like a snapshot of a  dog sleeping.  The funny thing about photographing black dogs is they do not show much detail, especially with their eyes closed.  Jinx eventually noticed me on the floor and came over to lay on me.

Rather than standing up,  I messed around shooting other things from my perspective on the floor.  Eventually I worked my way back to shooting Jinx with the low light in the distance.  The final picture involved using commander mode for my speed light which I was holding in my hand and angling it towards Jinx.

Amy is sleeping on the couch with a humidifier.  Makes an interesting picture.

Had a bit of a scare this afternoon but it was nothing.
